How I built it
An affiliate website network
A network of content sites that earned $1m in affiliate commission.
The problem
People research before they sign up to anything, and the companies they end up choosing will pay a commission to whoever sent them. The question was how to be the site they trust while they're deciding.
What I built
A network of content websites, mostly about online dating, each answering the questions people ask before they choose a service. Together they earned $1m in affiliate commission.
How it works
- 1
Pick the questions people ask
Each site is built around what people actually search for when they're comparing services, such as which site suits them and what it costs.
- 2
Answer them properly
Honest guides, reviews and comparisons, so the reader gets a real answer and comes back.
- 3
Grow the traffic
SEO and link building across the network, with networks of WordPress blogs and automated SEO doing much of the heavy lifting.
- 4
Earn on every sign-up
When a reader clicks through and joins, the service pays a commission. Many sites, many pages, one steady income.
What it uses
- WordPress
- SEO
- Link building
- Affiliate programmes
What something like this could do for your business
The same thinking for your own website: answer the questions your customers search for, show up on Google when they're deciding, and turn those visits into enquiries.
